Biography

I started in education as a secondary school teacher but also have experience of working within primary education. After working as a research assistant at Manchester Metropolitan University, in the early 1990s, on a study linked to Health Promoting Schools, I entered the post-16 sector in 1994, lecturing on programmes relating to childhood studies, education and health and social care. Institutional profile

I have worked within the post-16 education sector since the 1990s, lecturing on programmes relating to early childhood, family, youth and education studies. Since 2007, I have worked as a senior lecturer in higher education in Education and Children’s Services. My PhD, completed in 2011, focused on the inclusion of migrant worker children into primary schools in North Wales.
