Abstract
The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan highlights the need to expand and diversify placement capacity in line with future transformative healthcare delivery plans (NHS England, 2023). For Nursing and Midwifery Council-approved education institutions (AEIs), moving away from hospital centralised care involves exploring new placement opportunities in social care, the voluntary sector and emerging digital spaces. However, many of these ‘new’ settings do not employ the registered supervisors and assessors required by the regulators.Citation
