Geography and Development Studies : [23]

Collection home page

The recently refurbished Beswick building at the centre of the Chester Campus houses the Department of Geography and Development Studies. Within this building there are two lecture theatres, a dry laboratory, a map room, a reading room, a geomatics laboratory and a computer room. Geography is the ultimate holistic subject which involves understanding socio-cultural systems and those of the natural environment. Not only is its subject matter varied in kind and scope, so too are the methods which geographers use to extend their understanding of the earth.
