Biological Sciences is a modern, well-equipped department situated in Thomas Building at the centre of the Chester campus. The Department has expanded rapidly over the last few years and now offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study.
These programmes are underpinned by diverse staff research interests which also provide exciting opportunities for study leading to MPhil and PhD research degrees.
The departmental staff are committed to providing high quality teaching and learning, with many tutors being active members of the Institute of Learning and Teaching. A number of external bodies collaborate with the Department in teaching delivery and research activities including: Countess of Chester Hospital, Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Manchester Blood Centre and Chester Zoo.
