| Abstract: | It is important that women receive information and advice about normal birth practices and healthy lifestyles. In the United Kingdom, the Royal College of Midwives Campaign for Normal Birth, ‘aims to inspire and support normal birth practice’(RCM, 2005) and the Department of Health has acknowledged that ‘Healthy mothers are key for giving healthy babies a healthy start in life’.(DoH, 2004) This presentation describes a holistic health and fitness programme specifically designed to raise awareness of the health benefits of normal birth and the general health and wellbeing of women, their babies and their families. |
