Education : [37]

Collection home page

Chester is the most experienced teacher training institution in Great Britain; it has been in the business since 1839 when the first Teacher Training College was built here. However, most of what the School of Education does would be unrecognisable to those early pioneers. The School of Education now offers six routes to teaching from one year to four years; from early years through primary to secondary. It also offers training towards the newly transformed learning community: education studies, teaching assistance, and Continuing Professional Development.
